Finally, winter has arrived in Chicago. And it is not as fierce as had been previously predicted. There is only about an inch of snow on the ground, and the temps have remained about 0 deg F.
There is not the haze that exists in SLC, in fact we had a very clear day here last week and while out driving with Christina we could see the Sears tower in downtown from the suburbs!
My political thoughts for the week: I was happy to hear that Barack Obama may run for president in 08. I remember thinking that he would be foolish to run, and now I find myself happy that he is running! So far, out of all the candidates for President he's my favorite. As regular readers here know, I am very unhappy with the current President, hence the counter on the sidebar. Any commentary on any topic is always welcome.
Also, in the past few weeks the carpet in our back stairway was replaced. We still have a good size piece left over, which has proven to be endless fun for Java. Biscuit doesn't really care that we have it.
Thus, here it is, the must-have item for every household, the kitty burrito!
Below: Java inside the kitty burrito!
Yes, we call it Java's burrito. Yes, she really likes crawling inside it. No, I didn't shove the cat in here for this picture, it was her choice.
Not be outdone Biscuit meowed and sat nicely in her box until I took her picture too!
OK, I think that's all I have to say for the now.
Until next time,
-Paul

You like Obama? I don't know Paul, I know you're liberal, but I didn't think you were that liberal! Look at his voting record. At this point the only decision I have made is that, as a resident of the state he used to govern and mocks all the time, I will NOT be voting for Mitt Romney! Other than that, I need some time off from craven politicians.
I just got a new place myself and am living happily in Yuppie-land! You and your wife (if she can do it) should come out to visit before junior does, it would be fun! And, as an annoyed Pats fan, let me just say: GO BEARS (for two more weeks)!
I'm writing in Chelsea Clinton for president personally..... I suppose I don't think this country will vote for an african american or a woman for president.....not saying anything about either as a candidate.... just that prejudice runs deep and prejudice is a powerful poll motivator.....
I'm liking the java burrito....you should pitch the idea to Starbucks as a cross promotion opportunity....
