In what I hope to be a regular return to the blogosphere, here is a rundown of my last month...
1) The wedding.
One month ago today I married a fabulous lady named Christina. She had a gorgeous dress, and could not have looked better. The whole day was very fun for the both of us.
My day consisted of breakfast with the guys, walking around Barrington with my Dad (and others) and waiting for the wedding. The wedding ceremony was good, the reception was a lot of fun, and I had my picture taken hundreds of times.
One thing that Christina and I both missed completely from the wedding was the coffee bar at the reception. Apparently it had all sorts of goodies on it besides coffee. Did anyone else tryout the coffee bar?

Other blogs around here have posted some images of the grand event, but I have a few more to share here.

Left: Christina getting ready. Right: Yay! We're done!

Left: The pictures begin... Right: Kiss the bride? Sure!

Emma, here are the pretty rings! And the pretty cake!

My name is Umbriaco, Jake Umbriaco....008?

Then it was time to get down and get funky (Me, dancing with Amy)!
2) My new job.
The Tuesday before the wedding my Walmart career came to an abrupt end when the Barrington Bank and Trust (www.barringtonbank.com) called and offered to hire me as a Bank Teller. The Monday after our honeymoon ended, I started my new job (oddly enough on my birthday).
Its been fun to learn the ins and outs of being a teller. I never ever imagined some of the things that go on behind the scenes at a bank. Although I must admit I was nervous when the first training session was a video detailing how to act during a robbery. Oddly enough in the two weeks after I was hired and before I started at the bank the concept of a robbery hadn't crossed my mind. Perhaps that is why they have that particular video.
3) New roomies
No, this section is not about Christina, but the two little furballs that have accompanied her. One of them has already been introduced on this blog and that is is Biscuit. The other, making her blog debut, is Java. This cat was rescued by Christina from Logan UT On New Years Eve 2004. She was named Java because she is wired in the morning, much like my espresso.

Java (more pictures to come of both cats eventually!)
They have certainly made life around here entertaining, and the cats are always excited when I get out of bed in the morning for work. Java because she likes her people time in the morning and she gets breakfast. Biscuit likes to take my spot on the bed because its warm.
Coming soon, G-rated honeymoon highlights, adventures in married life, and how to cook pizza from scratch!

Does everyone know about my obsession with pretty and/or shiny things? Perhaps I should be worried...
Also, those things on sticks at the coffee thingy look disturbing, but tasty.
Oh yeah, and Christina is absolutely gorgeous! You lucky man. Have a good life together :-D
Emma,
You mentioned your shiny rings on your blog. So Christina and I figured we'd share with you.
The sticky coffee things are actually quite tasty. Christina's parents took them home from the wedding. They are rock candy stir sticks. In other words, sugar stir sticks for coffee.
Thanks for the compliment and the well wishes!!

No you don't you like taco bell....
I'm just going to leave that comment hanging to disturb the rest of the blog-o-sphere.
The coffee bar was excellent - Erin and I made multiple trips!
Much love to you, your wife, and your cats.
