As many of you know, I am out visiting Christina and her family in Illinois this week! A week to relax, and work on my career search. So, briefly, here are a couple of highlights so far! Also, due to the wonders of technology you get pictures!
1) Starved Rock State Park. Went for a visit to this lovely place (really, its very pretty!), and hiked about half of the 13 miles of trails that are there. Its really very wierd, one minute you're driving in the flat lands of Illinois, and the next, you're in a very hilly, tree filled place, full of these little canyons, and some nifty rock formations. Jake, you would dig this place, Jon too! The pictures for this are the view from the main bluff, french canyon and a place called wildcat canyon.

2) Ravinia Music Festival. Christina had bought me tickets to see James Galway, who in my opinion is one of the best flute players in the world. This music festival is a permanent facility, and reminds me quite a bit of the Shakespeare Festival grounds in Cedar City. The pictures for this event are of the Martin Theatre, the indoor theatre where the concert was; the main lawn grounds, and the pavilion stage. The lawn is a great thing, tickets are $10/person and you can bring blankets, chairs, food, etc. Great music all summer long. Amy, Wyclef Jean performed at Ravinia this summer as well as Brian Wilson! Just sing to yourself, you know you want to!

"Drove downtown in the rain..." Sorry, just a bit of BNL silliness. I think I need some sleep.
